I saw a prescreening of it. I thought it kinda sucked. I've seen worse, but this could've been written better. Ethan Hawke gave the most believable performance.

i thought it was good. not incredible or anything, but i thought the dialogue was pretty good. felt like i was given a little insight into some things...

plus the movie was unpredictable which is always good because its hard to pull off

Maybe they changed it up a bit cause I thought it was mad predictable for the most part. Maybe I just expect too much from a Don Cheadle movie.

I watched it early this morning and I liked it..I mean it borrows from A LOT of other movies(Serpico,Training Day,The Departed,Magnolia,Crash,Copland and on and on) but nowadays what doesn't? Don Cheadle did his thing, hell I think everybody did their thing though..Gere was pretty good,Hawke was good, the cast of the Wire lol, the prostitute that Gere's character was dealing with was good, and it was good to see Wesley in something that wasn't straight to DVD..but yeah I thought it was pretty good though

throw a few different main plots out and there and twist them all together at the end thumbsup.gif

Shit was terrible. The line up wasn't used to perfection at all. The "black" dialog was terrible. Richard Gear wasn't utilized correctly. Ethan went the fuck in, but that's about it. Don was covered with TERRIBLE monologue. And Wesley was drowned in even worse monologue. I don't know who wrote that shit....but they should never write a screen play ever again. The range these actors have wasn't even tapped into making this movie drag like hell. The thug talk was so terrible it had me going "do I know any ignorant n**gas that even TALK like that?"

I liked it.
Definitely lacked originality, but I still enjoyed. It made me want to go ahead and start a Snipes section in my DVD collection with him as a D-Boy...
NJC, Sugar Hill, now BK's Finest.

He went from Nino to Romello so of course the only next name to give him is Casanova. LOL! That was cute.

Yo, was Richard Gere's whore that chick from the Steve Harvey show back in the day? If so I found it mad funny she was in it and even Bullet Head had a cameo in there at the beginning.

For me it was like a drama filled episode of Seinfeld.... You know how there's really not a main character and these three people go out and have all different lives, that somehow all tied in together in some kind of way.... I like that.

As much as I agree with alot of the criticism I've read in this thread about the movie... I still liked it.
