The movie was visually really dope. The Cheshire Cat was funny too, as I predicted he was my favorite part of the movie.

I really loved it.

it really didn't need to be in 3D either. it was dope, but it's gonna be just as dope in regular-d or whatever.

I loved that they took the original and kinda twerked it... giving her a REASON for being in Underland… not just wandering around.

Just loved it.

fair warning.. do not waste your money or shrooms for that matter on this wackness... the movie might have been good for the kiddies but far from the dark aesthetic that Tim Burton is known for. i suspect that Disney limited him when it came to creative control on this project.... walked away very dissapointed after this sham was over.

At the end of the day, Alice in Wonderland was always just a really weird kids movie.

I understand wanting dark and twisted and all that typical Tim Burton stuff... but I don't understand knowing that it's Disney and rated PG and still expecting it.

Hmm, I didn't expect super dark. I expected good acting, good animation/cgi, good scenery, good story, and music that fit the scenes. I got none of it. This movie was trying waaaaaaayyyy too hard and wasn't able to pull it off. This movie sucked donkey ass in my opinion. But I know some people who aren't super critical and actually enjoyed it.

It's a Tim Burton movie. He's done a lot of movies but not a lot of R Rated movies.

I didn't think it was the greatest flick ever but I enjoyed it. I think I would have rather seen it without the 3D. Other than the Cheshire Cat I don't think 3d added much to it. Once again, Johnny Depp killed it. Crispin Glover was good too.

wanting no for the sole fact that it was expected yes.... a person would think with all the subliminal shit and innuendos that disney has slid into their movies throughout the decades they would let Burton slide with his creative control..... if you really knew disney's catalog the way you claim to then you would have known this....

i rest my case......

I just think that people are going a little overboard with blaming Disney for neutering the film...

Lest we forget that Nightmare Before Christmas was a Disney film, and certainly contained the dark/twisted elements Burton is known for.

So I can completely understand people's frustration when they dont get the Burton-esque darkness with Alice and Wonderland.. the fact that it is a Disney film has nothing to do with this movie's failure to meet those expectations, as Disney's resume' with Burton is dark and twisted.

More believable to me, would be that Burton simply missed the mark on capturing the darker side of the Alice story..

exactly, but from what i heard Disney put a lot of restraint on Burton's creative control this time around.
